German to English Translator/Editor

I am a German-Canadian-American based in Berlin working as a German to English translator and editor. My clients include universities, research institutes, university professors, trade publishers, and translation agencies. Before moving to Berlin, I worked for ten years as an assistant and associate professor of German and humanities in Canada and the United States (tenure granted 2011), specializing in gender studies, and from 2018 to 2023 I also taught at Bard Berlin. I’ve published award-winning work and curated exhibitions in queer history and transgender history. I am also a highly successful grant writer for universities and US nonprofits and have experience in nonprofit public affairs. I hold a PhD in German from Princeton University (2007).
